Pause and Reflect Before Taking on a New Creative Project

MONDAY TAROT MESSAGE FROM THE MUSE, 3/31/2025

Theme, 4 of Cups. Cups is the element of Water in the realm of heart, emotions, dreams, intuition, and creativity. Four is a number of stability and structure, of stable foundations. This week, before taking on a new creative project that seems easier or more promising, pause and reflect. Make sure you’ve given your other projects sufficient time and energy to see them through to completion. You don’t want be juggling more creative work than you can handle.

Focus, 3 of Cups. Cups again but this time the three, a dynamic number of momentum, creativity, and energy. Do you need to put your focus on one or all of the projects you are already working on? What do you need to keep your motivation up? Is it time to have accountability partners? Or creative colleagues to celebrate small successes with? How and with whom can you share challenges and breakthroughs in order to drive those projects to completion and the market?

Action, 10 of Swords. Swords is the element of Air in the realm of mind, thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, and communication. Ten is a number of completion and preparing to begin again. Beware of putting off finishing those projects so you don’t have to share them with others. Critiques, criticisms, and rejections are just part of a creative’s life and growth. Develop a thick skin so the messages from others and self just slide off your back but don’t keep you from new projects and possibilities.

Gift, Judgement. While this Major Arcana card may seem less than a gift, in fact, it offers further reflection–on what worked and what didn’t. It also offers a re-awakening to your creative dreams and desires, a call to rebirth and a new vision for your creative work once you’ve completed the current projects.
